The pope recently gave an address on faith and reason in which he declared that violence cannot be used in the promotion and propagation of religion. To this speech the global Islamic community responded by:

  • setting aflame images of the pope during riotous protests in Iran and Palestine
  • fire-bombing Greek Orthodox and Anglican churches in Nablus
  • bombing and enaging in shootings of Christian churches in the West Bank and in Gaza
  • Iraqi militia announcing they would attack the Vatican
  • Iraqi group threatening to kill all Christians in Iraq if the pope didn't apologize to Mohammed within three days in front of the whole world
  • Supreme Islamic Courts Council of Somalia calling for the assassination of the pope and reminding every Muslim of their obligation to slaughter any nearby offenders of Mohammed
  • mass-publishing propaganda that the pope and George W. Bush are the Zionist-American alliance against Islam, trying to re-create the Crusades
  • and Al Qaeda and Mujahideen Shura Council issuing a joint statement saying "you and the West are doomed", "we will break up the cross", "the only thing acceptable is a conversion to Islam or being killed by the sword", and "God enable us to slit their throats, and make their money and descendants the bounty of Mujahideen."

The pope promptly apologised for any comments he had made that appeared to link Islam to violence.

and i am chasing Sirens
as if their sweet song
could bring pleasure-long
to a journey of dead-ends

listen to In Flames and feel vindicated.

sorry i haven't been on here. it turns my stomach; makes me vomit...

where i've been: Seattle, Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan, Canada, Puerto Rico, NYC, Myrtle Beach, Baltimore, DC, Virginia Beach, Asheville, Columbia, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, West Palm, Key West, Houston, Austin, New Braunfels, Nashville, Nashville, Nashville, and soon... Dallas and London

i like leaving. i dislike leaving people. i miss you Texans. i'm glad you survived that disappointment of a hurricane.

to all: the sickness is not in the medium. it's in our blood. it's in our hearts. be true. Love. help me. dear God, help us all.

(this is a call to arms)

i guess if you know me you should find this pretty funny...

what???

maybe i'm not too interested in being filtered through journalism again anytime soon.

i Love you DJ.

i had several conversations with dear old friends yesterday that reminded me why i sometimes suffer smiles. you make life worthwhile.

i have stories i'd like you to hear.
school is wrecking me.
we'll speak soon.

for now, another discharge:

to measure life in breaths...
when you and i would share
and filter pure the choking air
we'd measure life in deaths

rendering life measureless
bobbing disembowled there
mangled in our tangled hair
we'd surface, breathing nonetheless

to palpitating, flooded bliss
you'd brood my rouge with feathered white
and harvest seed with careful thresh

surmounting spheres with each our kiss
angelic act, in carnal spite
wholly formed of broken flesh

last night i hung out at a mortician's house, got the run down on how dead people are dressed up, and even saw a couple of dead ladies. then we went out on the deck and smoked some Dominicans. weddings are freaking sweet.
